Chester Day 2012 – Another Reason Why Chester NJ is Such a Great Place to Live!
Here are some of the scenes from Chester Day 2012 which took place this past Saturday May 12 at the Gazebo Park on Main Street. The air was filled with the smell of hamburgers and hot dogs, the sounds of vintage baseball and sights of the annual parade as part of Chester Day 2012.
Festivities included an old fashioned home town parade down Main Street, activities, with music provided by the West Morris Community Band, picnic lunch, a vintage baseball game, a 5K race sponsored by the Educational Foundation of the Chesters, Chester Garden Club’s plant sale and more.
The weather was ideal for this event which was well attended with children of all ages decorating their bikes and scooters and proudly marching in the parade or walking wearing team, scout and organization shirts.
Chester Day is a just reward for a day highlighted by community clean up service projects and free family friendly activities.
